Remote PC Access

Paul,
What about a memory stick? Large capacity USB2 memory sticks are now cheap. I have both my data and programs on one, so I don't have to install anything - but you do need to be able to add a memory stick.
If that's not enough capacity there are some neat portable external hard disk drives.
I've also tried remote access from (home to work actually) and of course it means you have to leave the remote computer on, unattended and linked to the internet - can be a security risk.
Regards, Stephen

When you are at work......shouldn't you be working?

Or is that an old-fashioned concept?

Not sure you employer would like this idea.

We had facilities for remote access at work but it was very strictly controlled.

If you have internet access on your works computer, you can remotely take full control of your home pc (if no one else is using it) by using a piece of software called Symantec pcAnywhere which you will install on your home pc.

You then get a full view of your home pc's desktop and access to any of it's programs and files via your internet browser at work.
