Where can I find newspaper reports online?

I would just like to say thank-you to Andy Pandy for giving this link. I have just searched through the pages using a surname and found out the reason why my great grandmother fell out with her family!! A huge family secret for years!!

I'm looking for the death of a relative between 1914 and 1942 in London apparently as a result of being injured by a runaway horse.

His soon was born in 1914 and his widow married around 1942 but because his surname is so common I can't find a record of his death.

Are there any online newspaper reports for London that I can review on line.

I've tried googling but its mind boggling!
