Birth certs always show mother's name, its the indexes that only show it after 1911.

Birth certificates have always included mother's maiden name, but they weren't included on the index of GRO until 1911.

Hi Sue

Marriage certs don't show mother's maiden name, unless in Scotland.
Birth certs do, though after Sept 1911 or is it 1912?
