My Auntie, Rosie Fletcher was born in 1898 and never married but I can't find when she died. I've been trying on several sites, but nothing. Can you help please???

She could have died any time up to around 1998, unless you have an idea of when she might have died.

You would need to search deaths quarter by quarter on a site like Ancestry. A hard slog, but really the only way, unless you can narrow it down a bit.

trouble is she could have lived up to the 1990.s so thats too long a trawl to do each year has to be searched by each quarter up to 1983 after that it is indexed
You need some sort of time line to start ie when she was last known to be alive at say a family get together or where she was still known to be living

Many thanks and aplogies to all of you. I should have said that I have been told that she "Died young" but what that means I don't know. I do know that she died quite a while before I was born and that was in 1947.

Just double checked. She was born Qtr. Oct, Nov, Dec. 1898 in Pancras, London but listed as Rose Ellen. Sorry, I've always known her as Rosie.

She died a Fletcher, Rose.
