Wills and how to search for please

There is a set of indexes for wills and letters of administration held at some libraries. I use the ones at Birmingham Central Library they cover the whole country not just Birmingham so it may be worth asking at your local library if they have a set you can look at

Firstly, he may not have left a will. Not everybody makes one.

Most wills are not online. You can visit the Probate Office in High Holborn London where you will find lots of index books. Entry is free. The books are alphabetical within year. They give you some skeleton information, but you can get a copy of any will for £5.00

This is an area I have never covered but, being unable to find out where my great grandfather was born, I thought I would go to the other end of the spectrum and deal with his death. I have his details as:
Daniel Cork(e) born 1845 Chelsea??? Middlesex - great debate on this which we needn't go into now.

He died in May 1932 at Queenborough, Kent.

Is it possible to search for his will online or is this not an option? I just hoped there may be a clue to his origins and background. Some guidance would be gratefully received. thanks.
