why not contact ancestry and explain to them whats happend they would block the user until they contact them it would at least get sorted out !!!!

I am unable to join Ancestry because someone else has joined using my email address!! Very bizarre! Despite numerous attempts to contact them and explain the situation, they have never replied to me!
I even keep getting updates from their site sent to my email address - but for someone else!! (So someone, somewhere is not getting their updates sent to them) So that's my opinion of Ancestry!!

I had subs to both. Found loads of errors on Ancestry and couldn't access site on numerous occasions. Genealogist is fine for me but has limited records. Wouldn't mind subs for Ancestry if Santa got it for me and the probs re access were sorted.

I subscribe to both as I have found people on Ancestry that where not on Genealogist and vice versa. Also because you are rely on the transcribers it helps to have 2 different transcribers. I searched for a parkins in ancestry and could not find them tried geneologist and found them straight away. Finally traced to ancestry as prowse

My Aunty has just moved over from Genealogist to Ancestry and straight away found 2 people she had not been able to find on Genealogist.She is very happy with Ancestry,so there is your answer-Ancestry hands down!

This question comes up regularly, 2 or 3 times a month ....... and ancestry is always the one that wins out in most people's minds.

which site is better by your opinion ancestry.co.uk or the Genealogist which has a betterrange of information please ?????
