Thanks for all that info alviegal, good to have, maybe they came by magic carpet!! Nice to have confirmation that someone else can't find them either was beginning to think I was having a "thick and stupid" moment - not unknown. Thanks again.

Sorry Gerald, I can't find them anywhere. Very strange, maybe all the lists haven't been transcribed yet?

This son must have been born just before they returned. He is on the 1901 England census as being 6 months old. Census was March 31 so he would have been born September/October time.

I have been searching the Incoming Passenger Lists on Ancestry for a relative coming back to England in 1900/1901. From census records I know she is here as a visitor in 1901 census, just can't find her arriving. Can anyone look with a fresh eye for me please?
The name is MARY ANN HUGHES aged around 26/27 years, with her two children Lydia around 5 years and Albert W.4 years. These two children were born in Connecticut, whilst in England Mary Ann had another son Herbert Sydney, I can find them all leaving again for USA in June 1901, don't know whether she travelled with her husband to England or if he remained in Connecticut his name was Albert William Hughes, Mary Ann and her husband were both born in England (Staffordshire). I am pretty sure that she didn't return again to England, but if anyone knows differently????? Thanks Gerald.
