Hi Donna

If you go to the freereg site they have an explanation of what each type of record should contain. Go to this address:-www.freereg.org.uk/howto/enterdata.htm#baptisms.
I'm thinking of transcribing for Freebmd, and have downloaded their transcription programme to practice and find out if I could cope or not.
On their program the input fields will depend on which type of record you are transcribing, so you just fill in the boxes you are presented with. The page above will show how data should be put into each box.

Hello All,

I am currently volunteering to transcribe parish records for the FreeReg project.

I recently agreed to transcribe some non comformist parish records.

I received the disc to transcribe yesterday.
I am a little unsure how to transcribe them through the WinReg program, as the entries are paragraphs hand written - for example:

On the 15th day of December in the year of 1804, the daughter of Charles and Mary Williams of the town of Brackley in the county of Northamptonshire, was baptised here by the name of Gertude
Agnes Williams..... etc

How do I transcribe this?

Any help from anyone would be appreciated.

I have contacted my co-ordinator but I know she is extremely busy and lives in New Zealand.
