There are two genealogy books that have recently been published. One is 'Who do you think you are? : The Encylopedia of Genelogy' and the other one is 'The Oxford Companion to Family History'.
They both seem very good at first glance, but before i purchase one of them, i wondered if anybody had an opinion on either of these books?
Thanks in advance, Glen.

Haven't read either of the two you mention, but got Ancestral Trails (2nd Edit. by M.Herber) last Xmas and it's brilliant reference. It is about £20-25 from Amazon, which is more than many FH books around, but after reading a large chunk of it last January, I think barely a week goes by without me referring to it or re-reading a chapter at least once. Would thoroughly recommend.

Hi Glen
I purchased the encyclopedia of genealogy from Amazon for just 14.99 plus free p&p!
It arrived within 3 days too!
It's a great source of little known facts & figures.
I've found it very useful - but that's not to say I couldn't have done my research without it!
