I have used this site many times in the past...I have it in my favourites....as you say Rose £5 goes a long way.

I found burials and MIs that really helped in my research. One MI confirmed another son for my OH's 3 x gt grandfather...it was a family plot.

It looks as if I am going to have to ask for a FindMyPast sub for Christmas (Ancestry every birthday!!) what with the 1911 census and now this....

sorry got waylaid lol

for me it was a couple of pre 1837 marriages that helped, but for certain counties there are hospital and workhouse records, memorial inscriptions
for Somerset there are apparently Parish Apprentices (1575-1800 1,245 entries 26Oct2007

quarter sessions...

you have to buy a voucher £5 but the records are 5p 10p etc so that £5 goes a long way....

they are closing the site and transferring the records to Find my past in mid december...so maybe best to look quickly :)
