Eeek, sorry Ive only just been able to log on, and all these messages! Wasn't being ignorant. Gywn, yes thats the death of Albert's wife Louisa Batchelor nee Anker, thankyou. She was born in Warwick and died 1901. Apparently Albert married an Italian lady in America, but nothing else is known. Elizabeth, have sent you my email, many thanks.

I had a look on Find My Past passenger lists and couldn't find any of them either

He was born in Warwick. His children Albert and Emily also were.

Sylvia and Lesley, many thanks. Had to attend a Christingle so am late seeing your messages. Albert was born 1874. I cant find anything off Ancestry but will view the Ellis Island site.

anyone have them online? I thought I did but am disappointed to see I need to upgrade again (£150) to see the details. I have a widdowed man named Albert Batchelor who emigrated to America in 1901 with his 2 small children. His wife had just died that year, and I think he was alone with his children, quite a thing for a man to do back then. He was born 1874, and his daughter Emily was 3 yrs old. I'd be grateful if anyone can find anything.
