Ancestry have two lots of records, the freebmd which are being transcribed by volunteers so they are name searchable. They are not complete. And there is the full bmd index which you would need to look at by the year and quarter for the marriage.

Who are these people, would their child's birth cert be of any relevance to you as that would have the mothers maiden name.

Only place to look for any bmd records between about 1925 and 1983 is on the Complete Index on ancestry

and that is a search of an index, quarter by quarter, year by year.

I did try on Ancestry but they're not very good with more modern entries and it didnt bring it up.
Also tried on FreeBMD but again it didn't bring it up. I tried under just Webster for that year as Fiveash gets mispelt quite often but still couldn't find anything.

I know they got married in 1934 as I've got the entry from the records office.

where have you looked???

The only place I know of is the GRO Complete Index on ancestry

you look up John Fiveash

find out the quarter when he was married

then you go back to the search box and enter Webster and the quarter

then search the page of Websters to find one who was married to Fiveash

Hi Guys

I'm trying to find the first name of a marriage partner and cant find it so was wondering if anyone could help?

It's the marriage of a John Fiveash to a Webster in 1934. If anyone can tell me the lady's name I'd be very greatful.
