In additon to the Family Tree Maker, I also use Genopro which can be found at www.genopro.com. There are a lot of nice features, ie, you can add pictures, create .ged files and with a push of a button create an HTML formatted report that works like a website. Other family members you want to share with do not need to have any special software on their PC's in order to view these HTML reports.

Everyone has their own favourite - mine is Legacy, you try out a free version or get the delux one - which has a charting program included.

Many researchers on GR use Family Tree Maker.
The 2006 version is popular. 2008 version is not recommended.

Hi
can anyone recommend a computer programme for a family tree. I want to display on the family tree DOB , DOD and if necessary date of marriage but be able to go into teh file to show a picture(s) of the perosn and anything of interest eg church they got wed in, house, grave stone etc.
Any ideas/suggestions?
