I have been trying for some time to trace a living person in Australia, and have found several contacts which members might find helpful.....

Centrelink - this is a state department - similar I suppose to our National Database of state penioners. Apply to them, and you will get a form to complete as far as you can - return the form, and they will send it to the person you are trying to trace - Centrelink will NOT enter into any further corresspondence - its up to the person you are trying to trace to contact you - if they so wish.

State Libraries [each State has one] - they are very helpful, and they can scan electoral rolls for you, and send the results to you - all free of charge!

Whte Pages - telephone directory service for all Oz.

Hope this helps fellow members who are trying to trace family or friends in Australia.

Good luck to all
