I had a look on there and 4 came up 2 were called John, & 1 came from Canada...So that then only leaves 1

Have you looked for him on the Commonwealth War Graves Commission site. Google - CWGC. That should show where he died.

You may not get any more info on the death cert as I think the wartime ones don't give any more info than that on CWGC. Findmypast might be the place to look as they are filed differently than the "normal" death certs.

If someone died in world war 1 in about 1918 and they were from Ireland, would they have there death registerd in England or Ireland. Thanks Debbie

If it would be in England can someone have a look for James Mcdermid that died in 1918 in the 1st World War. Thanks
