Hi –

I am looking for Beattie siblings on the 1901 census. Due to their birth dates I am assuming that they may be in different areas with their own households. If found, may I have images, please. I will pm my email address.

My apologies for late response to your replies.

Ozibird -

I don't have subscriptions to either findmypast or ancestry so I try to sift out the probables from the possibles and then hopefully rely on the generosity of genes members to forward me images if they have the time and inclination.

Ericthered -

The 1901 online seems to be my man. I will pm my email address to you if I may for an image.

I am absolutely astonished at the difference between the 1901 and the Ancestry transcriptions. No wonder people end up with brick walls.

Unfortunately the John Beattie that you found is the wrong one. The parents were Henry and Hester/Esther.

Regards

Rita

It would be easier for people to find the right family for you if you tell us who you are looking for, and give us all the details of which you are sure.............

Birthplaces, birth years, and names of parents.........

You are much more likely to achieve a correct result that way......................

At the moment, I am unable to send an image..........my e-mail is playing up......sorry
