Muriel Hi

I dont understand what you are saying. If you go into your tree there is still a search facility at the top. That hasn't changed, so i dont know where your looking.

There is NO search box!
Its all gone wrong, year of birth is off set, my name and amount of relations has sunk into the light blue bar. I have a 22 inch monitor, do i need bigger???

Oh and ive just found out you have a search option in other people's tree's, but not in your own. DER.

Hi Muriel,

I thought I'd got the same problem and I've 'only' got 15,200 records in my tree (surely we have a Hot Match there somewhere!!??).

I think you need to have Macromedia Flash player 8.0 to use the Tree Viewer... I can never access anything needing Flash if I open Windows Internet Explorer - but I have found that if I go into GR via Mozilla Firefox, then I seem to be able to open both the full Tree Viewer AND see the Search box.

Mind you, I think this new 'up market' tree is going to take a bit of getting used to...

I have no SEARCH BOX to find anyone in my tree.
lots of replies to do but can't find where they are in my tree.

WHY NO SEARCH BOX????

If the "search" button was there before the change I do not understand how can it be due to the monitor?

I think it is probably still there -just cannot access it!

For me the whole of the botton part-where you enter new people and info- is not there .

There are no arrows for moving anything up-down or sideways.

If I try to reduce it I am back to the Home Page!

Grrrrr

Hi Muriel,
The search facility is still there, no change. I still think I prefer the old tree method though. This one is more 'up market' i suppose but there is a saying 'if its not broken, don't mend it' Took me ages to get used to the last change, and now I hardly use the site.
How did you ever manage to get 19,000 people on your tree. I wouldn't think I would ever find that many relatives.

I think it depends on your monitor and your screen resolution.
I have a squarish monitor not a widescreen.
I have the resolution set at 800X600.
The button does not appear but reduce the print size and it does.

In the Immediate Family view there's no change - you put the name in the search box at the top right. The search button's still there.

In the Full View I've no idea, because I've never been able to get it to work, even with the old version of the site.

How do I search my own tree.
I have over 19,000 people on my tree.
I used to use the search button to answer other peoples quiries & find the people they wanted to know about.
With the new set up I no longer have this facility. SO HOW DO I DO IT, or do I just find another site to put my tree on
