Well Ive just sent a message to myself and i do get the white envelope appearing in the tab marked "Messages" in the bar running across the page

Researching:
My avatar is that of my Dad and shipmates, taken onboard HMS Blanche in 1938, place unknown From left to right, my Dad,Sidney Mellor and Sidney Bateman.

Thanks for the reply, I couldn't see anything which said I had any PM's will have to watch I check all the time.
Will have to keep my eyes open then because I never even saw anything at the top either.

I thought the same , it is easy to miss but it does show up in small text at the top of your homepage when you have a new message, but it does not stare you in the face as it did before.

I just checked my messages, there was nothing to say I had received any message but I just thought I would have a look anyway.
There were 2 unread messages in there I didn't know about, is there no way to know you have message in you GR inbox.
