I would guess that 't' and 'f' stand for tenant and freeholder.

Thanks for the additional information - in fact I already had that.

The Ontario, Canada Voter Lists, 1867-19 is a recent addition to Ancestry.com so I'm hoping to find something new.

He was married first to Harriet Elizabeth Groves. They married 26 Feb. 1845, Cornwall Ontario. 4 children.
Married second to Mary Elizabeth Hart. They married 23 Sep. 1864, Ogdensburg, New York. No children that I know of.
