Ever since the new site came online I cannot log in. The screen simply goes to an expanse of nasty green wallpaper and that's it.

Fortunately someone sent me a message about one of my ancestors and by opening the message and then going from there to my tree or to community I can look at what's already on my tree or the message boards, but try anything else and the whole thing freezes and I have to Ctrl Alt Del to get out of it.

My homepage is a complete no-go area.

Does anyone have any ideas? Or am I another one who is going to have to give up on GenesReunited and set up my family tree somewhere else?

Contact GR and tell them what browser you're using. I have the same problem and they replied (very quickly) that they no longer support my browser which is Safari 1.3.2. Not very helpful, but GR has never been terribly good with Macs. I'm now using Opera and that's working fairly well although it's irritating to keep changing as I use Safari for everything else and newer versions of Safari do seem to work ok.

Hi Diana
Move your tree to tribalpages it's absolutely brilliant.

A few things to try updating on your PC that may help....it should be done regardless so no harm in doing them. Update the following programs on your PC:

Adobe Flash: Make sure on this download that you UNCHECK the offer for the free Google Toolbar.

http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/

Adobe Shockwave:

Java:

All three of the programs above enhance your PC's technology while on the internet and should be updated periodically to keep up with new technology on the web.
