The marriage certificate I have got is for Henry Ellerton Wood b 1887 - he married Edith Roberts in 1914. Both Henry and Edith were living in Goldie Street in the paris of St Chad in Lancashire. Edith's father was Robert William Roberts and was a paper ??? anger.

I have requested Henry Ellerton Wood's father's marriage certificate - he married Kate Ellerton in 1881 in Liverpool but this certificate has not arrived yet. I know that from the 1901 census that Kate was born in Liverpool and that Henry was born in London.

But in your 1st post you say that Henry married kate in 1880 Liverpool

So from their M/C what was Henry's Dads Name & occupation

No-one will know for sure which is the correct Henry in earlier census seeing as on the 1891 & 1901 his birth year hardly changed

Thank you! That certainly looks like it is them. It is slightly frustrating as their dates of birth have changed, and Henry's occupation always changes.

Henry's occupation on his son's marriage certificate is a commercial traveller (1912), in 1901 he was a grocer, in 1891 he was a provision salesman and now he re-appears as a grocer.

I wonder what his occupation is in 1871....
