Julia only Arthur E Kirby I can find born Kirkee 1881, Rgt. RA, vol 323 pg.19

There is an Ernest A Kirby 1896 b Weymouth Rgt RA, vol 1466 pg 20

Neither of these fit your dates though.

If you google Kirkee there is a lot of info you never know might help.

Hi,
Can I be cheeky & ask if you can find any info on my grandfather?
He was Arthur Ernest Kirby b 1890 (approx as listed as 11yrs in 1901 census). Born in India to Michael & Susanna. I have marriage & death certificates & medal info but cannot find out more about his birth.
If you can provide anymore info I would be so grateful. He later served in the 7th Dragoon Guards but Iam not sure what regiment his father was in. Both hiis parents were born in Ireland.
Thanks for any help!
Julia

Hello Yvonne,

Military Births are a separate set of records. FindMyPast has the military birth index's, you should find them on there.
This is what they hold :-
Armed forces births 1761-1994
Armed forces marriages 1818-1994
Armed forces deaths 1796-1994

If a child is born outside the uk to serving military members they have a normal British Birth Certificate. I cannot find them in the normal register for the date of birth is there a seperate section in records for these children. Can anyone shed some light on this problem
