On the navigation bar that runs accross the top of your home page, where it says, Home. Search. Print & Share. etc etc, click search, this takes you back to the old search page, well it does for me!

Go to your home page

In the box (on the top right hand side) which says 'My Quick Links' click on the bit which says '+Add A Link'.

It will open up a new little box. Delete the contents of the first new little box, under the title 'Web Address' (the one that says http://)

Copy the link underneath here, then paste it into the box from which you've just deleted http//

Give the link any name you want to.

Then click on the button (within that 'My Quick Links' box) that says 'Save'

This link will take you to the familiar search box - it will only search the census though - you need to add other links for the BMD's etc.

On your new home page there should be a place, ...up to right of screen if I remember correctly ?..where you can customise your home page.

If you do that and click on records you can get the GRO index and census pages to be a link on your home page.

I was absolutely lost on Ancestry after their changes...
