Hi Heather, St. Peter's was a very popular church at one time and was in the city centre- it is now demolished. There is also St Peter's Woolton, but it is probably the other one which you need. Hope you find what you are after.

Can I just ask whereabouts you are looking for? There is, of course, lancashire online parish clerk which covers quite a lot of Liverpool. I know some areas, but may not be back online until tomorrow night. Regards.

Hi Kathleen. Thanks for this. Didn't think I could do that! I was hoping that parish records were available on CD. Here's hoping I fine one.

Best wishes,
Heather

Your best bet would be to order the parish records you need from your nearest LDS Family History Centre (the addresses for them all are on www.familysearch.org)

It only costs a few pounds to order a film and the Centre keeps it for about a month to give you chance to view the records.

UPDATE - I've just checked to see if there is a centre in Southampton and unfortunately it looks like the nearest one to you is in Aldershot. (that's if the website is up to date).

Hello. I've reached the point that I now have to start looking at parish records for Liverpool. Being in Southampton, the chances of me ever getting to Liverpool is very thin. So I was wondering are parish records available electronically, ie on CDs, internet etc.

Does anyone have any recommendations at all?

Thanks

Merry Christmas
Heather
