Ooh - thank you for that - I hadn't thought of looking at Wills - is this information available online?. I have tried to find baptism records but without much success.

Hi Rachel
Have you tried looking at census returns? They will give you a lot of information on addresses, occupations, marital status, possibly other relatives you don't know about, neighbours etc etc

Hello,

The majority of the dates are after 1841 and the men's occupations are mainly coal miners or strikers, and none of the females had any occupations listed. I would like to know a bit more about the ancestors rather than the year they were born, married and died.

Have found some of the ancestors on the census' but I'm curious to know if there are other sources/places to look.

Regards

Rachel

Hello,

I have found the dates when some of my ancestors were born, married and died. I would like to find out more information on them but am not sure where to start - does anyone have any ideas please?

All suggestions are welcome.

Regards

Rachel
