Thank you Valerie, I didn't already have that information as Ann stated so thanks for your trouble.
Ann, I replied to a post from Valerie thats why the info appears more than once. Just goes to show doesn't it that if you post on different boards, different people are kindly willing to help you.

I am looking for Edgar Arthur McDonald an Australian cricketer b 1891 in Tasmania, i believe he married Emily myrtle Hamill in 1920. His father was Arthur McDonald b 1862 and married Jane McBean 1887. I need to find more about these familes if this is possible but not sure where to look. Also i would like to obtain b,m,d's for these people.

there are a number of people on this site who offer lookups for Australia - have a dig around and you will find them - you could go into Advanced Search on the left of this page and put Australia in - that should bring some up for you

I am trying to locate ancestry in Australia and was wondering does anybody know of any good sites to use that will give me good info. If possible free sites, i can't seem to find much.
