Copying shared trees

The answer tp your actual question is no.

If the other person is happy for you to use their informtion, they could send you a gedcom file which you could then merge with your tree using Family TreeMaker or some other similar programme.

Like the others have said though, you could be casuing yourself a whole load of problems if you don't check the info yourself, how can you be sure that it is correct?

I ditto what Julie has said.

At least weekly we get someone complain that their tree has been copied I even know of someone who has a deliberate mistake in her/his tree.

I have no idea as i would never just copy someones tree, how do i know their info is correct

I have recently started my family tree and and have had several people give me access to the rather large trees, is there any easy way to copy information from a shared tree other than coping the name info to a clipboard, when i do this i lose all the other usefull info the other person has found.
