This may sound stupid for me to ask, but I am the immigrant to Canada and have had no reason to learn much about records that are available over here.

I have a friend who is tracing her husband's relatives, some of whom seem to have regularly crossed from the US to Canada and back again.

The time period would be the late 1700s through to the 1900s.

Are there any lists of names of people crossing the borders?

Hi Sylvia:

Yes, www.ancestry.com has records of US/Canada boarder crossings. If you Google, there are also other links with information as well.
