Hi everyone.

I was just wondering where the best place to go for local village ancestry/information. The things I am looking for are things like maps of the village, and the history of the village.

regards,
James

most counties have a Family History Society - google to find out if yours has one

have you looked for websites? my village here in Wales has a brilliant website - just put the name of the village in google and see what comes up!!

There is - or used to be - a site called Ancestral Villages - might still exist but I've not been on there for a while.

Curious Fox could be useful too.
