sorry to be a pain but I cannot grasp how to search census information by address.

The only way I can see is to do it by surname....please explain in words of one syllable!!! ..:)

Which are your trying to search - 1881 is the only one, commonly avaialible to search by address - 1901 is, too but not so easy

Address searches are available on all the censuses on findmypast...........but they do not have all of them

1901 is address searchable on the 1901censusonline site....but images have to be paid for

Only 1881 is specifically address searchable......and free.
