I have a marriage entry for Fearman Rance and Jane Laurence who married on the 4th dec 1831 Isleworth. Does anyone know where i might write to to find the entry? Thanks x

Hi hotchoc, I found them in familysearch.org so you can go to order a LSD microfilm to get a copy of their marriage register.

You could find your nearest LSD centre or church. They will help you how to order it.

I would guess it will be kept (possibly on a microfilm or microfiche) at whichever county records office covers Isleworth. (Is that Middlesex? I'm not too sure on London.)

They might be able to look it up for you and send you a photocopy of the film it's stored on - I don't know if you'd have to pay anything but it might be worth a try if you can't get there yourself.

I would guess the records are now in the London Metro Archives - phone/email them and ask anyways, but what you'ld do next depends on how accessible the LMA is to you. If they're not too accessible, then probably your best bet is to rent the films thru the LDS to view at some FHC that is more accessible. You can find out where these are by searching in the middle column at:
