I can't find my way round the new layout either, can any one tell me if Pallots is still avaiable for pre 1837marriages please

I think they've changed it now, you can't view Pallots with the basic 'Essentials' membership, you have to have the 'Premium' membership. Same for parish records as well.

If you haven't renewed recently you should still be able to search.

Sam is right and it isn't included in the essentials subscription.

Description:
Pallot's Index to Marriages covers all but two of the 103 parishes in the old City of London, England. Information available includes: spouses names, marriage date and parish of marriage. The dates span the time from 1780 to the onset of General Registration in 1837. The more than 1.5 million marriage entries come mainly from London and Middlesex, but also include entries from 2500 parishes in 38 counties outside of London-many not available in other sources. Also included are several records from counties in Wales.

From the home page click on search in the top banner then on the right hand side under "browse records" click birth, marriage and deaths then under
"search individual titles in this category" you can scroll through until you find Pallotts.

There's probably an easier way to find it but that gets you there eventually.

If you use it regularly you can save it in your favourites.
I've saved the basic bmds and census searches as I don't like the new home page either, don't know why they have to change things and make it more difficult.

If you copy and paste the link I posted it should take you straight to Pallots.

thats all very well Jim but can't find pallots to put my info in !! and if I put rellies details in on home page an exact search dosn't come up either. oh 'eck fed up with ancestry and it's stupid pages. waste what little time I can spare trying to suss it out

if you know what you want i.e. pallots

click on search at the top of the page
on the right hand side under search resources click on card catalogue
new page enter pallots click search?
you get 2 choices marriages or christenings
