HI jo most libraries in OZ have acess to Ancestry. Also you usually join the library as well-it does not cost anything also you might try the local history societies as well and the local LDS centres if you are close enough to visit .Good luck . Denise

Hello Jo
When you get to Perth join the very good Western Australian Genealogical Society (WAGS) which has a good research library, access to Ancestry and Scotlands People (probably the wrong name) etc. Once a member of WAGS you can access the facilities some of the regional societies, such as the one in Mandurah which also has ancestry access.
WAGS has groups specialising in most areas and runs seminars on all aspects of family history. And a great way to meet new friends if you are just arriving.
There are also several LDS centres and the Alexander Library has much genealogical stuff and volunteers available to help you on certain days.

Google WAGS and have a look at their website!
