Thanks David I'll look into that.

Thanks Amanda, it's not that she doesn't want to tell me I just don't think she's got alot of details that's all.

I literally don't know anything it was a comment my dad made earlier "oh you're nana says there's alot of adoptions on her side of the family"

so I have no idea what info she's going to have if any, just thought I'd ask to see how difficult it's going to be.

I imagine it'll be prior to 1926 as my nana was born in 1935.

I'll just have to see how it goes based on what she knows but thanks guys and gals as always

Hi Amanda

Not sure if this is still available to view now, keep getting sent to on.line order services for adoption certs, so think you cannot view it now :O(

Hi Natasha,

Ask Nana.

If Nana doesn't want to reveal anything there will be little to trace when it's all too late, maybe she is trying to tell you in her own way?

The Adopted Children's Register used to be at the Family Records Centre, but I don't know if you can still view it now it's closed down.

Is she talking about WW2 times?
My family are the same, although we do know now.

Kind regards
Amanda

Hi Everyone

This is only an enquiry as I have no details.

But how do you go about looking up adoptions?

My nana says her side of the family is littered with them, so was wondering how difficult it's going to be and what kind of info I would need as I doubt I'll be able to get certificates or anything

Thanks
