Yes.I have these records.
I also have passenger records for when they made return visits to the UK.
I have hit the proverbial 'brick wall' with their life in Canada.
I have searched all the records available online to try and find later deaths as Edwin and Lydia are presumably dead as they would now be over 100 years old.I have also tried without success message boards in Canada.
Someone must have known Shirley. She could well be alive today.
Edwin's 2 uncles also went to Canada but settled in Toronto and I am in touch with that side of the family but the uncles all had a falling out and never spoke again.Shirley has 2 cousins in Ontario who she has never met.
I think the only option is to write to the local newspaper in Calgary.
I was looking for any other tips.
I have tried various spellings as Fosten is often mistranscribed.
Thanks for you help.

Have you tried looking for mistranscriptions?

It's easy to see how some one might think it ought to be FOSTER instead of FOSTEN - especially in script,

I am still trying to trace a family in Canada. Can anyone help?
Arthur Fosten b 1876, his wife Ada (nee Shapley) b 1875 and their son Edwin b 1901, emigrated to Canada in 1914.I have their travel details. They lived in Calgary.
Edwin married in 1930 to a Lydia Dunne(also known as Lilian) and had a daughter,Shirley in 1931,again in Calgary.
the only definate record I have after that date is a border crossing to USA in 1938 but I believe that they were back in Calgary as a relative in Canada found a record in a telephone directory.
Arthur and Ada are buried in Burnsland cemetery,Calgary, but what happened to Edwin,Lydia and Shirley?
Has anyone any suggestions?
Thanks for your help
