If you go to Frith's site -

http://www.francisfrith.com/search/england/suffolk/laxfield/

- theres a Laxfield map of mid 1880s that shows Hill Farm to the east of the village.

Thanks to the 1911 census peek I've found out my great grandfather came from here. Does anyone know the area or have family on their tree from here.

In 1851 my great great grandfather was living on Hill farm as a farm servant. (The buggar went on to marry the niece of the family living there at the time. I laughed when I found that out)

In 1841 the census states In The Street.

If any one has info relating to this or can point me in a clearer direction. I spent Saturday at the archives but as far as Hill farm goes well.......
