HI ann here! many thanks for the last link, have used it and accessed the census, is their an Irish births, marriage, deaths site that i can look up gro numbers for birth certificates, as i would like to trace great grandfather john lee and also anthoney lee, as i think my dad was named after him? I would love to see how far back i can go with the lee's, as an irish friend told me the name is common to southern irish.

HI, its ann again, where did the last info come from? we engaged the services of some professionals, and they came back with bits and bobs, upto the 1901 census but said that they couldn't find anything else out. Is their any website that might be good to sign upto to find out more? as i know hugh followed my grandad lee(thomas age 13) to england, as did his father, but thats about all i know. I think the sisters remained in ireland as grandad went over every year to visit where possible. many thanks for all the info so far everybody, please keep anymore advice coming my way, as i really appreciate it.

Hi I'm looking for the lee family, who lived in newry, county down, around 1860's, but weren't born their. They married into mcareavy family, who might be from county louth.
