I bought the credits on www.1911census site, not on findmypast .... and all transcripts and images that I look at on that site are automatically saved to My Records on there, so I can go back and check any of them as and when I need to.

I have also saved census images as a jpeg to my computer, and copied over information from the transcripts so that I could enter the information as and where I wanted it in my own files.

Why would you want to save an image of a transcription in any case? It's only typed text after all, not an original document. Just select the transcription text from the webpage and then copy and paste it as text into the notes section of FTM.

Hi Libby

I am not aware of any method of uploading transcripts from the 1911 census, or indeed doing antything with it at all other than printing it out. It all seems a big con to me.

Have you saved the original image of the census to your computer? This is the only way you can view the image at the present time. It saves as a JPG file. Maybe then you would be able to attach it to your tree.

I don't know about the transcipt as I've only been able to save that as a web page.

Moonbeam.

Can the transcipts we've paid for be uploaded to FTM? I tried to upload the image into an individuals scrapbook, but got a message something along the lines of...........this file is not a supported picture type. Does anyone know a way round this?

Thanks
