If no one comes along to help on here, there is a board dedicated to Family Tree software over on Family Tree Forum

Hi Grumpy,

Thanks for replying. We did this but on FTM there was no repair option. The repair option was available on the update but it did not work.

Can anyone help me. I have just got a new computer with Vista. We have installed Family Tree Maker and it is fine until we tried to export a tree to My Documents. We have put in all the update patches for FTM as I have version 2006. At first the error message was that an error had occured and they would close down FTM. We checked all the help available and installed FTM Printer etc. Now we get the message 'Check to see that the printer is set up correctly. Any help appreciated. My husband who is the only computer literate person around and not interested in Family History is fed up and just says you will have to get the latest version of FTM.
