Could someone Please tell me how to find marriages for two ladies born in BC Canada in the 1940's..or death's if they never married.
Have spent hour's on google..with no joy!!

Hi Misty,

If you go to the BC Archives website at http://www.bcarchives.gov.bc.ca/textual/governmt/vstats/v_events.htm you should be able to find some help. They have marriages up to 1932 and deaths up to 1987. Scroll down to the middle of the page where it says Online Vital events index.

Thanks for that...was on there this afternoon, no joy I'm afraid... records to early...I need more the 60s, 70s for marriages, going by the birth years.

Yeah, BC has a 75 y closure on marrs and 20y on deaths. Your only hope is the local newspapers, but there's mostly no transcriptions available. Of course, they might still be alive and unmarried, and you could phone them up - better not be named Lee.

Hi mgnv....the name is Fallowfield...think I may have found one on classmates but cannot get into the site...oh well another day tomorrow!!
Have tried the phone..no luck there either
