Hi Peeps,

With the release of the 1911 census I have been able to trace my husbands Grandfather.

He was born out of wedlock, with no father stated on his birth certificate and 3 months later his mother married. we were told he was an only child.

The 1911 census showed us that his mother had another son to her husband. I traced the son and found he died in 1990. I order the death certificate and have managed to talk to his daughter today, she has confirmed to me that my husbands grandfather was actually her full blood Uncle.

We now have a father for George (husbands Grandfather), a brother and 2 nieces for him.

I'm so thrilled we have been able to give him his parents back and we are now promised photographs of his parents and brother.

This is all thanks to the 1911 census, yes it costs to view the censuses but what we have found is priceless!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dee x
