I spent the day at the British Library Newspapers Library today, has anyone else ever spent the day there?

I was fortunate enough to find one of the articles I was after.

It's a great resource and rather facinating if you've never been and definately worth a visit. Be sure you have all the finer deatils before you go though. I didn't have as much as I should have and so it took longer to find what I was after.

The downside of the place I found was that after spending so much time at the national archives the library seems very antiquinted and you can't get a long term readers card. You can only get a card that lasts a month. You also have to wait for the photo copies you want for a week.

Needless to say I'm looking forward to that week going by quickly.

I love it there too, although difficult to get to. I agree, time passes very quickly but we should make the most of it - it won't be there for that much longer.

The place at Colindale is going to close down. Lots will be moved to the British Library, but I think lots will be stored off site.
