I cant find were he was born

The Devon FHS Plymouth Marriages Index shows the marriage took place in Stoke Damerel on 14th March 1860.

Perhaps they can be found in the 1861 census?

I see your problem...Thomas Jenkins was a Seaman and isn't at home for the 1861 and 1871 census and deceased by 1881.
In 1861 there are three Thomas Jenkins listed as AB Seaman. Two are single but one is listed as married and he was born in 1835 in Swansea, Glamorgan. Not sure that this is much help though.
Edited - I should have said that this Thomas Jenkins is in the Royal Navy and is in Gibralta on board the ship "Ariadne"

The marriage cert would give his age and his father's name and occupation - assuming he wasn't illegitimate. That will help to track him down on the earlier censuses.

I only want his birth date also were he came from as im not tracing his side of the family got enough trouble tracing my mcdowell side
