Just spent my first £6.95 on the 1911 census and really did not learn anything new in fact I found a number of errors in my ancestor's surname.
Don't think I will be rushing back to this site.

Yes perhaps but I decided to buy some credits--not something I've ever done before on any site and I'm so glad I did. I only got 2 original censuses for my grandparents but after years of failing to find my grandma's details as people said she was born in Birkenhead, I find she was born in Newcastle ! I don't think I'd have believed it if I hadn't got the census return. I only spent £6.95.

They certainly are - but they have the monopoly at the moment so it's not as if you can look anywhere else. They also have to get their money back as I'm sure it has taken a lot of hard work and time to transcribe and digitise all the forms.

Is it just me, or are Find My Past 1911 Census records are a bit on the expensive side?
