i can only suggest the person searched for you must have paid to view the transcript. From the info you have described that is the info you get on the transcript, you do not get it on the intial search.

From the intial search you will just get a name, birth year. age in 1911, and disrict, but you may get a multiple result if more than one match is found.

Hope this helps

George

Edit

I think that some of the info John has mentioned is a bit misleading, !911 Census is not on Ancestry,it is only on this site http://www.1911census.co.uk/ you have to buy 60 credits cost £6-95

If you search somewhere like 1901 Census online, you have to buy credits [usually in blocks of £5] to view each search result. You can view unlimited entries if you subscribe to Ancestry.co.uk or similar for a monthly or yearly fee. You can also do a lot of searches and view the results for free at your local library, but the data is limited to what each library has paid a subscription for, and they might only let you search 1 hour per day. Really frustrating!! Also remember the 1911 Census isn't complete yet. Hope this helps. Regards, John & Di

Hello all.

I was wondering whether Iam missing the obvious.

Someone did a 1911 census search for me, didn't pay for it, but managed to get place they were living and who else they were living with, and their ages etc....

I can't seem to do this though when I try. I find who I am looking for, but don't see anything else apart from the "view" buttons to pay to view the entries...

...Am I missing something? If so, could someone let me know?

Thanks
James
