can anyone tell me the cost of aquiring a birth cert i keep getting different prices and where best to apply for thank you

http://www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/certificates/

If you have the GRO reference, the certificate will cost you £7 including postage.

£7 from the General Register Office or from the relevant register office.

If the Register Office, the Superintendent Registrar, usually.
Please see my thread about applying for certificates from register offices, hoping it will help if you wish to do that.

Jacqueline, to order a certificate you will need the year, quarter and GRO reference, which will be something like 1b/305 or 7c/806
