Hi My Grandfather was stationed at The tower of London in WWII, My mother says he was in the Scots regiment (Scots Guards?) and was a guard of Rudolph Hess, anyone know where I could confirm this?
Thanks

Thanks Ann
I have already and It is a Known Fact that Hess was held at the Tower, What I was looking for was proof that my Grandfather was a guard there at the time
(not that I doubt my Mother, it's just that I like to have as much paper evidence as possible for my citations)

Try contacting the regiment he was in, [or if you don't know which one, all the Scots regiments].

The Scots Guards have their own museum and reference office - have a google for it. They do require a "donation" for look ups though. Alternately (just realised the recent time frame) your grandads next of kin can apply for his records from the Army - for about £30
