Could anybody please list out all the English census available and the actual dates they were done.

I can't find this info anywhere all in one place and I find it important when looking for records during the actual census years

Don't worry, I never delete replies - it stops threads making sense and stops this forum being a good knowledge base (amazing what you can find on here if you search).
Always worth Googling, whether it's for things like this or just on areas rellies came from, or even their names. Some interesting nuggets can sometimes come up quite frequently.

I always keep the census dates on a little post-it note beside the computer. You'd be amazed how often I use it, especially when they give a child's age in months or, better still, weeks.
