Trying to find the following family on the 1841 census. (as they seem to be hiding from me)

Caroline Whitby nee Caroline Waylat Ellis b.1806 Cumberland (sometimes says Liverpool as I think she was raised there)

She married John Hunter Whitby in Liverpool in 1826

Had the following children all born in Liverpool (except Elizabeth):

Robert Waylat Whitby abt 1826
John Hunter Whitby b.1828 (living in Middlesex in 1851)
William Joseph Whitby b.1831
Sarah Ann Whiby b,1834
Ellen Jane Whitby b.1838
Elizabeth Ann Whitby b. Ireland abt 1842

1851 England Census about Caroline Whitby
Name:Caroline Whitby
Age:42
Estimated Birth Year: abt 1809
Relation:Head
Gender:Female
Where born:Liverpool, Lancashire, England
Civil Parish:Toxteth Park
Ecclesiastical parish:St Thomas
Town:Liverpool
County/Island:Lancashire
Country:England
Street address:

Registration district:West Derby
Sub registration district:Toxteth Park

Caroline Whitby42
Elizabeth Ann Whitby9
Ellen Jane Whitby13

It occurs to me as I'm typing that they may be in Ireland but want to make sure I haven't missed them.

Many thanks

Thanks Ann :-) but I think my Caroline would be younger. I've had so many mistranscriptions I thought they were lost but looking at where Elizabeth was born, I'm not so sure now,

Hello Ann,

Sorry I thought it was the 1841 census you posted. Looking carefully I see it cannot be as it includes where they were born and their relationship.

Sorry about that.

I'll have to look into it a bit further to see if there is any connection. I thought Caroline may have died by 1861 but that is by no means certain Thanks again Ann.
