Strange Tree Layout.

Hi, I have been using GR for a few days now and as i am building my tree I am seeing that it isn't the traditional tree shape. For some reason it has put my dad's parents higher up the page, above my great grandparents on my mother's side, even though my great grandparents were born approx 50 years earlier. Is this the norm....or what's going on?

Thanks

Sidami

The layout is 'different' and definateley not the standard, but it does allow you to include and see all those none direct ancestors. The layout does annoy me I tend to prefer using FTM, but its good for showing those in the family that aren't into geneology and just want it there infront of them to see, things like explaining I've added a sibling of my gg grandfather others can see whats been done rather than the fuss having to 'click' on the right person and change the view.
